  1. Critically analyse the interplay between physical geography, history and culture in constructing the identities of the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. 
  2. Assess the socio-cultural considerations in representing and interpreting different landscapes and places.
  3. Debate the implications of globalisation and imperialism on the societies of the Red Sea world.
  4. Incorporate a comprehensive understanding of the different dynamics at play in understanding the Red Sea world.
